The detroit Tigers are down to their final 12 games of the 2025 MLB regular season. Despite a recent wobble, going 7-12 in their last 19 contests, the Tigers (85-65) still maintain a significant lead in the American League Central Division over the Cleveland Guardians.
Their hold on the top seed in the AL playoffs has slipped, though, as they’ve fallen
If the Tigers can win at least two games against Cleveland this week, they could potentially clinch the AL Central with wins against the Atlanta Braves over the weekend. This would be true irrespective of how the Guardians or Royals perform in their respective games.
