Dina Boluarte: How many Rolexes does the president of Peru really have? | Datejust | jubilee | Oyster | PERU

by time news

Dina Boluarte went through a week full of questions when it was discovered that she wears high-end watches, including the Rolex brand. This encouraged the Prosecutor’s Office to immediately open a preliminary investigation for the alleged crime of illicit enrichment.

Fourth Estate spoke with the influencer and luxury goods expert, Maggie May, who assured that all the Rolex watches that the president uses are Datejust models.

“Datejust is because you can see the date. Here is today’s date numeral. That’s why it has that name. We can see that the watch has several color combinations,” said the expert.

According to the Sunday newspaper, there are three watches that Dina Boluarte owns among her luxurious accessories. “All three are Datejust. In this case they would be in size 36. Due to the dimensions of the president’s wrist,” he explained.

Characteristics of the three Rolex watches from Boluarte

Primer Rolex:

“Jubilee means jubilee. That’s the name is actually Spanish. All Rolex watches are Oyster. That is, closed like an oyster, water cannot pass through. The bracelets are different, this one is the most elegant and this one, the coach is like the all-rounder. She has both datejust in oyster and jubilee,” said the influencer and connoisseur of high-end watches.

Second Rolex

The second watch identified is also a Datejust model and also a size 36. However, it uses an oyster strap and shines much brighter for several reasons. “I like it because this watch is surrounded by diamonds on the bezel. It seems that the president likes diamonds. The bezel is precisely the circle that is around the moon and the background is apparently silver, according to the photograph. And in this case it also has diamonds at number 6 and number 9,” the expert clarified.

“Precisely because it is a watch with Vicente diamonds, it would cost more than €18,000. Here on the official Rolex website exactly 18,750 euros (about S/ 75,000),” added Maggie May.

Tercer Rolex

The third watch identified is also a datejust model and looks very similar to the rose gold Rolex. “It shares many characteristics with the first, but this one is a single tone. But it has all the numerals with small diamonds. Each number is a little diamond so to speak. (…) The cost of this watch is approximately €11,900 (about S/14,600) on the official Rolex website,” he detailed.

There could be a fourth Rolex

According to the Sunday newspaper, there would be a fourth Rolex due to the characteristics, however, the difference is in the black leather strap.

“When I saw those photographs I was inclined to say that it is a Rolex 1908. That it is a new watch that Rolex launched last year in 2023. (…) But I still had the doubt and it seems to me that it could be a shilling that “It is a predecessor of this watch,” the specialist clarified.

How big is the market in Peru for high-end watches?

“It is not very big because not everyone here can afford a high-end watch,” highlighted the influencer. However, she indicated that in Peru there are few options to get a Rolex. “The first option is to go to Casa Banchero, the exclusive and only jewelry store authorized to sell Rolex in the country,” she said.
