To update the technology and physical practice, Nagarkurnool SP took the initiative to provide regular practice in using weapons to the Armed Reserve personnel. The SP started weapons drills and asked all armed reserve personnel to attend weapons refresher training at Jadcherla firing range.
Nagarkurnool SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath said armed reserve police have been deployed for the security of VVIPs. Keeping in mind the safety issues, they provide regular training and practice of weapon handling at Jadcherla Firing Range. Senior officers and armed reserve forces are participating in the weapons exercise.
“When forces have regular practice in using weapons, they will be sharp and have proper knowledge of using weapons. Regular practice will also build confidence among employees in using weapons in emergency situations. We asked all armed reserve personnel and senior police officers to participate without fail,” the SP said.
Officials further said that weapons training and firing practice will be conducted in such a way to provide complete awareness about advanced technology in the changing times, under which District SP and Additional District SP, DSP and other personnel will be involved. The academy in the city has two firing ranges available to the trainee officers for firing practice at moving targets, sliding targets, turning targets, first short firing range (for short range weapons) second long firing range (for long range weapons). ).
