(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, OCTOBER 18 – The strike will not take place, but the state of unrest remains open: this is the outcome of the meeting between the Sardinian health councilor, Armando Bartolazzi, and the unions of the doctors of the Arnas Brotzu Anaao-Assomed, Aaroi Emac, Cimo, Cgil Fp, Cisl Medici, Fassid, Fesmed, Fvm, Uil Fpl Medici (on the 21st it will be the turn of the confederal unions) on the dispute over the disparity in economic treatment compared to colleagues from other local health authorities: ” we are underpaid” the acronyms denounce.
“There will not be, as had been announced, a calendar of strike days – explains Luigi Mascia, regional president of Cimo Fesmed -. At the table they proved to be open to our requests and therefore we appreciate their availability. We must wait to verify calculations and numbers , which is why the state of agitation remains, but we are confident.”
The doctors of the largest hospital in Sardinia, a highly specialized hub, are asking for the application of law 1 of 2023, of the last legislature, which allocated ten million for the equalization of the funds available to healthcare companies.
Funds that have been released, announced councilor Bartolazzi, with a remodulation of resources from other chapters.
“The distribution and equalization of funds is only part of the problem – observes Myriam Pastorino, trade unionist of the CGIL public service – because the bulk lies in the organizational malaise and work discomfort of all the medical and non-medical health management of all the companies in the Sardinia, from north to south”. The timescales for the dispute are tight: from the opening of the state of agitation, with the cooling table in the prefecture, there are 30 days to find an agreement. Negotiations underway: “There is everyone’s interest in obviously not arriving at more drastic decisions”, say the unions.
Bartolazzi speaks of “a serious and intellectually honest discussion on a problem that has afflicted medical personnel and the entire healthcare sector for at least twenty years. This department – he clarifies – has already been active for several weeks to try to resolve what is a social injustice”.
