The DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) reported on the shelling of Donetsk by the Ukrainian military using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) BM-21 Grad. It is noted that this is the first use of Grads since 2018. In total, 5 rockets and 12 122-mm artillery shells were fired at the city.
Earlier, DPR reconnaissance recorded the movement of eight tanks and five Grads of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the training ground near the village of Urzuf to the Mariupol region, from where rocket artillery can carry out fire missions on the territory of the DPR.
The authorities of the DPR and LPR announced a general mobilization due to the growing tension on the border of the republics with Ukraine, as well as the temporary evacuation of part of the population to Russian territory.
