The Talsu Municipal Police have been busy responding to a variety of incidents over the past week, ranging from public intoxication to unruly drivers and even a runaway dog.
On January 9th, officers were called to the Talsi hospital after a person in the admissions department was found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to care for themselves.The individual was taken into custody by the Municipal Police to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The following day, the State Police requested assistance from the Municipal Police in managing a traffic accident on the A10 highway in Strazde parish.
On January 12th, reports of “drifting” cars disturbing residents on Dumpīši Street in Stende led to the revelation of two BMWs with passengers in the trunk. The drivers and passengers were questioned, and a report was filed after the individuals became confrontational.
Other incidents included a noise complaint on Dundagas Street in Talsi, which turned out to be unfounded, and a report of a perhaps injured dog on Kāpu Street in Roja, which was later determined to be false.
On January 14th, officers responded to a call about an aggressive individual in Kolkata. Upon speaking with the person, officers learned they were experiencing health issues. Later that day, a person behaving erratically at a gas station in Kolka was taken to a medical facility by EMS.
The same day, three students were found in a school toilet in Talsi, where they had been smoking electronic cigarettes. The students admitted to their actions, and their parents were informed.
on January 15th, a large dark-colored dog escaped from the 1905 monument in Tals and was reported to be threatening people. Despite the owner’s attempts to catch the dog, it managed to evade capture and ran away.
