Karaikudi: Chakkottai Horticulture Assistant Director Vidyabharathi said:
Drip irrigation is provided at 100 per cent subsidy for small farmers and 75 per cent subsidy for other farmers.
In order to encourage this, under the sub-level water management scheme, Rs. 25,000 will be given to the farmers to construct a new bore well and Rs. 15 thousand and Rs. 40 thousand is given as subsidy.
Farmers who want to benefit from this scheme can approach Chakottai District Assistant Director of Horticulture office with their photograph, Aadhaar, family card copy, attachment, land map, soil and water test card, bank account book, small farmer certificate.
