Dussehra celebrations were held on October 5 in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh state. Subsequently, the ‘Dhagan’ event of burning the effigy of Ravana at the Kaushala Maidan in Dhamdari started around 8:15 pm. Then they set fire to the effigy of Ravana. But it seems that the ten heads on the effigy of Ravana are not lit properly. Photos related to this also went viral on social media.

Following this, the municipal commissioner ordered the dismissal of a clerk named Rajendra Yadav from that municipality for his negligence in making the effigy of Ravana. “It was because of his extreme carelessness that the effigy of Ravana did not burn properly. This has tarnished the reputation of the municipality. Due to this, we have dismissed him from his position,” said the Municipal Commission.
