eBay is expanding its partnership with buy now,pay later (BNPL) leader Klarna,bringing flexible payment options to shoppers in six new European countries. Building on a prosperous launch in Germany, eBay shoppers in Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom can now access Klarna’s range of payment solutions at checkout.
“Our customers cherish the ability to pay in a way that suits their needs,” explained Avritti Khandurie Mittal, eBay’s Vice President and General Manager of Global Payments and Financial Services. “With Klarna, eBay shoppers can spread the cost of their purchases over time, selecting from a variety of flexible payment options.”
Depending on their location, eBay shoppers can choose from klarna’s offerings, including interest-free Pay in 3, Pay in 30 Days, and Financing options for larger purchases with manageable monthly repayments.
Starting December 12th, Klarna users purchasing items via the app on eBay will enjoy a new resell feature. The app automatically supplies listing details and images, simplifying the reselling process.
