The export of non-traditional Ecuadorian products experienced growth of up to 400% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, according to a statement from the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries of the Andean country.
The export of products such as fish meal, balsa, metal manufactures, banana products and fish oil increased exponentially in the first three months of this year.
Fish oil, which reached markets such as France, Colombia, Chile, Belgium and Perutopped the list with a growth of 429.1% and the value of its export reached 12 million dollars, according to calculations by the Ecuadorian Government.
