Egypt: a Moroccan association among the winners of the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Prize for charitable action

Cairo – The Moroccan association “Al-Shifa for development and training” is among the winners of the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Prize for the best charitable action in the Arab world, along with around thirty other associations working in the charitable community, notably from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain, Palestine and Tunisia.

A ceremony in honor of the winners of the Prize was organized on Thursday in Cairo, at the initiative of the Arab Organization for Administrative Development (OADA) in partnership with the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development.

According to the organizers, 300 charitable institutions from 17 Arab countries applied for this prize, of which 188 were selected as nominees. This number includes 51 large organizations, 70 medium-sized, and 67 small, of which 30 were ultimately awarded, equally distributed among the three categories of the Prize.

Founded in Tangier in 1998, “Al-Shifa for development and training” works within the framework of development projects with national institutions and various international organizations. Its area of ​​intervention is mainly focused on education, striving to improve the educational offer to meet the needs of all components of society and stimulate the role of local actors.

The Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Prize, held under the theme “Towards a better future for institutional charitable work in the Arab world”, aims to develop the performance of charitable institutions and humanitarian associations, based on criteria of excellence and performance indicators that reflect the effectiveness of these associations.
