Cairo: The Coptic Church is located in the Abu Chewein area of ​​Cairo, the capital of Egypt. A sudden fire broke out here yesterday morning while Sunday prayers were going on. 41 people died due to burns. 14 others were injured.
15 fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire after a long struggle.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. However, the Health Ministry said 55 injured people have been admitted to hospital. Egypt’s interior ministry said the fire started when a refrigerator exploded on the second floor of the church due to an electrical leak. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who contacted the Pope of the Coptic Church by telephone, expressed his deepest condolences.
