Thiruvananthapuram: The young woman who filed a complaint against MLA Eldos Kunnappilly is also making serious allegations against the Kovalam police. The teacher told the court that the police asked her to withdraw the complaint and after filing the complaint, the MLA was forcibly taken from her house in Thiruvananthapuram on the 9th of this month.
The MLA informed that the complaint was settled before the Kovalam SHO. SHO asked to write. The MLA was blackmailed for money in the presence of the SHO. The police deliberately delayed the filing of the case. The woman says that she went to Tamil Nadu yesterday because she could not bear the pressure.
However, the Kovalam police say that the woman did not come to give her statement despite being asked several times. On the 29th of last month, the woman City Police Commissioner G. Spurjankumar made a complaint through e-mail. This was handed over to Kovalam police.
The complaint contained only that the MLA had caused damage. The complainant was contacted but did not come to give her statement. The police also said that there was an impression that the complaint would be withdrawn.
The matter came alive again yesterday when a friend lodged a complaint with the Vanchiur police about the missing woman.
Meanwhile, the Kovalam police found the woman from Neyyatinkara. The complaint of sexual harassment was raised when she was produced before the magistrate in the missing case.
