The atmosphere is very heavy within the Brussels bubble in this new school year. Against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, Europe is bogged down in a deep energy crisis which is raising the specter of recession, while social anger is already threatening across the Old Continent. And, as bad news never comes alone, the EU also faces an electoral push from the far right.
