Since the start of “You won’t win a million here with <a href="https://time.news/angry-elton-is-thrown-out-of-beat-the-star-and-wants-to-know-the-reason-film-series-rolling-stone/" title="Angry Elton is thrown out of “Beat the Star” and wants to know the reason — Film & Series Rolling Stone”>Stefan Raab” Elton has also been there. Now there will be a new game master.
After nine years away from television, Stefan Raab returned to the screen in mid-September: In “The Clark Final Fight” he competed against Regina Halmich for a third time during an RTL live show. Although the 57-year-old was unable to prevail against the former boxing world champion in the ring, his comeback was still a success.
The TV spectacle was followed by a new show of his own: Since September 18th, Raab has been shown weekly on the streaming service RTL+ with the format “You won’t win a million here”. It is a mixture of entertainment and quiz show. Raab’s former “TV total” intern Elton led the second part. In all broadcast episodes he acted as a so-called game master.
However, that changes on Wednesday. In the fourth edition of DGHNDMBSR, which runs on RTL+ from 8:10 p.m., the 53-year-old is replaced by a colleague. “Moderator Jan Köppen is taking over the baton from Elton and taking on the role of game director in today’s show,” RTL announced in a statement a few hours before the broadcast.
It was clear from the start that Elton was only scheduled for the first three episodes of “You won’t win a million here”. “Changing guest presenters keep an eye on the game rounds. It starts with audience favorite Elton. He will keep a close eye on the unbridled ambition of his old and new boss in the first three shows,” said RTL at the time of the show’s announcement.
It is not yet known who Jan Köppen will hand over the baton to. Incidentally, in Wednesday’s edition he will also “become a guesser himself,” the broadcaster revealed in advance. This time the candidates also include Simon from Ennigerloh, who will once again have the chance to demonstrate his skills, and Nima Djavid from Cologne, who is no stranger to Raab. Many years ago, the now 50-year-old sports teacher was presented with the “Raab of the Week” on “TV total”.
