Encouraging Smart Manufacturing Innovation in Indonesia, Ericsson Holds Hackathon 2024

The event aims to empower digital transformation in Indonesia with Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) and 5G technology.

This program is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Industry, PIDI 4.0, the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Innovation & Learning Centers, Swiss German University, and Korika.

President Director of Ericsson Indonesia, Krishna Patil said that the 2024 Hackathon focuses on Smart Manufacturing, namely the use of advanced technology such as IoT, big data analysis, robotics and AI.

That is to optimize the manufacturing process and increase automation and efficiency.

Krishna is also committed to supporting Indonesia’s digital transformation and encouraging the country to unlock the full potential of Industry 4.0.

“This hackathon is also a concrete manifestation of our commitment to innovation in Indonesia, by shaping the future of industry, especially in the manufacturing sector, through harnessing the power of Gen AI and advanced 5G technology,” he said in a press release, Thursday.

On the same occasion, PIDI 4.0 Director Saiful Bahri said that although it offers many opportunities in this digital era, it also presents significant challenges.

Ericsson, a global company in the telecommunications sector, held the Ericsson Hackathon 2024 in Jakarta some time ago.
