Energy workers visited the grave of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehidlyar Khiyabani.
Day.Az was informed about this by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
It was reported that teams from the Ministry of Energy, AzerEnerji OJSC and Azerishig OJSC arrived at the Alley of Honor, where they honored the memory of the national leader of our people, the architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths and flowers at his grave.
The memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva and statesman Aziz Aliyev was also honored, and flowers were laid on their graves.
Energy workers, visiting the Shehidlyar Khiyabani memorial complex, paid tribute to the heroic sons and daughters of the Motherland who gave their lives in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and laid flowers on their graves.
It should be noted that on October 20, 1981, on the initiative and under the direct leadership of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, with the launch of the first power unit of the Azerbaijan TPP – the first large thermal power plant in the South Caucasus, the foundation was laid for a new stage in the development of the energy industry of Azerbaijan. By order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated October 13, 2004, this date was established in our country as “Energy Workers’ Day”.
