Funded by the INDH, this new space, which enriches the services of the El Hanchane Social Center inaugurated in 2005, is designed according to modern standards to meet the specific needs of women in precarious situations, by providing them with a safe roof , health services, as well as psychological support aimed at ensuring their social and economic reintegration.

This project with a strong social vocation, initiated as part of the “Support for people in precarious situations” program of Phase III of the INDH, demonstrates the Firm commitment of the Initiative in favor of social inclusion and fight against marginalization, particularly of women in rural areas.

With a capacity of 12 beds, this space is designed to offer quality temporary accommodation to women in difficult situations, thus ensuring them a safe and secure environment.

Indeed, each room is equipped with comfortable beds, bathrooms and amenities necessary to guarantee a dignified and peaceful stay.

In addition to accommodation, the center offers a range of activities intended to enrich the daily lives of residents, in particular by engaging them in community and collaborative tasks, thus promoting a spirit of camaraderie and sharing.

These activities are regularly scheduled to encourage the autonomy and creativity of these women, while providing opportunities for socialization and personal development.

In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Rachid Eddari, director of the El Hanchane Social Center, indicated that the inauguration of this space dedicated to women in difficult situations is intended to be a crucial step in the continuation of the commitment of the center towards supporting vulnerable women in the province.

“This new space not only provides temporary shelter, it also offers concrete opportunities for personal development, thus allowing women to regain their dignity and reintegrate into society in an autonomous and sustainable manner,” he said. he noted.

He subsequently specified that the Center currently welcomes more than 90 people, including elderly people and people with disabilities, benefiting from adapted care and specific support programs, emphasizing the importance of social inclusion and personalized support for each resident.

“The Center will continue to work in close collaboration with local partners to ensure the sustainability of the services offered and to develop new initiatives meeting the evolving needs of people in difficult situations in this part of the national territory,” he continued.

For his part, Mohammed Atfi, president of the Center Management Association, expressed his deep satisfaction with the inauguration of this new space dedicated to women in difficult situations, calling for further strengthening collective efforts to support vulnerable populations. of the province.

“Our ambition is to further develop our programs, expand our network of partners and create new opportunities for women in difficult situations,” he added, noting that several beneficiaries have succeeded in transforming their situation. thanks to the Centre’s initiatives.
