Elliott, a 9-year-old Californian child (played by Henry Thomas), befriends a cute alien forgotten by his family on Earth and helps him return home: it is the plot of “ET the extra-terrestrial”, a masterpiece by Steven Spielberg. Upon its release in 1982, the film achieved great success – becoming a real cult, not only among science fiction lovers – and the following year it was awarded four Oscars (best soundtrack, best special effects, best sound and best sound editing). Waiting to see it again today on Sky Cinema Family at 15.20 (rerun on Sunday 8.05) here is a collection of curiosities to be discovered.
