Evening with François Burgay and the forgotten Alte Vie of the Aosta Valley

The event is organized by the municipal library of Arvier

The municipal multipurpose hall of Arvier will host an evening dedicated to the forgotten Alte Vie of the Aosta Valley. The occasion is a conference with François Burgay, author of the book entitled “The Forgotten High Ways”, organized by the municipal library on July 31 at 8.45 pm.

Burgay, author of the book published in 2014 on the Alta Via selvaggia and the Alta Via dei glaciers, participated in several research campaigns on the Svalbard islands, in Greenland, at Colle Gnifetti for the Ice Memory mission and testifies with the analysis the rapid melting and pollution of glaciers; Marco Camandona is a direct and concerned observer in his ascents in the Alps and in his expeditions in the Himalayas and in the mountains of Africa. The meeting will be moderated by the journalist of La Stampa Enrico Martinet.

To participate in the conference, reservations are recommended by calling the library (0165/99279) due to the reduced capacity of the rooms due to the anti Covid-19 regulations.
