Ex-political prisoner from Grodno Alexei Golovkin, who has disability group II, was evacuated from Belarus, former political prisoner journalist Olga Klaskovskaya also reported. While still in prison, a new criminal case was opened against him under previous articles, and in August he was released.

Olga Klaskovskaya said that Alexei Golovkin was evacuated from Belarus and is now safe in Switzerland.
The journalist specifically thanked him for his help in organizing the evacuation of Oleg Kulesha from the Belarusian Association of Political Prisoners “Da Freedom”.
Let us remind you that Alexey Golovkin, an IT engineer from Grodno, was detained on December 3, 2020 as part of a criminal case. He allegedly created anonymous Internet accounts and disinterestedly transferred them to those who wanted them.
The man was tried under four articles of the Criminal Code: Art. 369 (Insulting a representative of the authorities), Art. 366 (Violence or threat against an official performing official duties or another person performing a public duty), Art. 364 (Violence or threat of violence against an internal affairs officer), Art. 185 (Forcing a person to perform or not perform any action, committed under the threat of violence against him or his relatives, destruction or damage to their property, dissemination of slanderous or disclosure of other information that they wish to keep secret, or under the threat of infringement of rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of these persons).
On June 4, 2021, the judge sentenced him to three years in prison in a general regime colony. Alexey served his imprisonment in correctional colony No. 2 of Bobruisk.
In mid-May, when the political prisoner was supposed to be released, human rights activists reported that a new criminal case had been opened against him under the same articles, but supposedly for new episodes. On August 26, it became known that Golovkin was free.
Alexey has a number of complex diseases. As a child, he was given a difficult diagnosis – hemophilic polyarthropathy. This is a chronic, often progressive systemic disease characterized by inflammation and multiple damage to the joints, which subsequently requires their replacement. Alexey also has hemophilia, a disease caused by a congenital deficiency of the blood clotting factor protein. The man has disability group II, and it is very difficult for him to walk.
