New Delhi: The political temperature in the country is very high regarding the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections. BJP, Congress and other political parties have entered the electoral battle. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has issued an order on Thursday regarding exit polls during the elections to be held in 16 states including Maharashtra and Jharkhand. In this, it has been directed that no print or TV media will publish any poll on the morning of November 13. Neither can any kind of exit poll be printed nor telecasted on TV from 7 pm to 6:30 pm on 20th November. During this period, the media will not do any such work which could impact the voting. The Election Commission is very cautious so that the elections are not influenced in any way.
It is noteworthy that on October 15, the Election Commission had issued an announcement to hold assembly elections for the states of Jharkhand and Maharashtra. During this period, the Commission had also announced to hold by-elections on 48 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats in various states of the country. All elections and by-elections will be held on November 13 and November 20 for 16 states including Maharashtra and Jharkhand. These elections and by-elections are to be held in the states Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. After the voting for all these states, the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
