Fairfield Men’s Lacrosse Announces Challenging 2026 Schedule
A competitive 14-game slate, featuring seven home contests at Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, awaits the Fairfield University men’s lacrosse team in the 2026 season.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield university Men’s Lacrosse is preparing for a demanding 2026 spring season, as Head Coach Andrew Baxter unveiled a 14-game schedule designed to test and elevate the program. the schedule includes seven opportunities for fans to witness the Stags compete on their home turf at Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium.
“We’re looking forward to challenges and opportunities that we will face in the 2026 season,” said Baxter, who earned CAA co-Coach of the Year honors in 2025. “We made positive strides last spring and have continued to grow and build as a team throughout our fall season. Right now, our focus is on being the best version of ourselves every day, all leading up to opening faceoff at Lehigh on February 7.”
The Stags will begin their season with a challenging road stretch, playing four of their first five games away from home. The season officially kicks off on February 7th at Lehigh University. The first home game is slated for Saturday, February 14th, at noon against Brown university – the first of three contests against Ivy League opponents.
February will continue with a three-game road trip, beginning with a local rivalry game against Sacred Heart University on Wednesday, February 18th. The Stags will then travel to face Manhattan College on saturday, February 21st, and conclude the month with a contest at Providence College on Saturday, February 28th.
March brings a return to Rafferty Stadium,starting with a highly anticipated matchup against in-state rival Yale University on Saturday,March 7th – their first meeting as 2018. Just three days later, on Tuesday, March 10th, Dartmouth College will make its inaugural appearance at Rafferty Stadium, renewing a series that has been dormant as 2008.
The six-game Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) schedule commences on Saturday, March 14th, with a home game against Hampton University. This will be followed by a trip to Philadelphia to take on Drexel University on Saturday, March 21st, and a return to Rafferty Stadium to host Stony brook University on Saturday, March 28th.
April opens with a journey across the Long Island Sound to face Hofstra University on Saturday, April 4th. The following weekend offers a break from conference play as the Stags welcome Holy Cross to campus on Saturday, April 11th, completing their non-conference schedule. fairfield will then conclude their home action on Saturday, April 18th, against the defending CAA Champion, Towson University, before finishing the regular season on the Jersey Shore at Monmouth University on Saturday, April 25th.
