In the San Rafael neighborhood of Bogotá, a family lives an unusual situation, they share their house with 29 cows. According to local media, the family is afraid that if the animals are outside at night, they will be stolen. Domingo López, owner of the cattle, explains that the animals sleep inside because it is the only way to keep them safe.

The main reason for keeping their animals safe is because the family is supported by the sale of milk and cheese produced by the cows.

The district authorities are intervening in this case, considering that the cows were found in inadequate conditions of hygiene and well-being. Juan Pablo Olmos, San Cristóbal Animal Protection manager, explained that the cows were living in unhealthy conditions.
