Slovak Family Launches Fundraiser after Tragic Ultralight Aircraft Crash

A public collection has been established to support a family from Vrbové, Slovakia, following teh devastating loss of a husband and father in an ultralight aircraft accident. The tragedy unfolded during a family festivity, leaving a widow and two young children facing an uncertain future.
The crash occurred on saturday, September 13, shortly after noon, in the village of Kamenný Bridge, located in the Nové Zámky district. Authorities confirmed that both occupants of the CH 601 aircraft – identified as 42-year-old Attila, a pilot and soldier, and his passenger, 33-year-old Peter – succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. “All the emergency services were immediately sent to the place. Regrettably, two people from the crew suffered injuries to which they succumbed to the spot,” the Police of the Slovak republic reported.

Attila, a family member, had offered to provide a sightseeing flight as a special experience. however, the joyful occasion quickly turned into a scene of unimaginable grief, witnessed firsthand by Peter’s sister.
A Family Devastated
The Vrbový family is now grappling with the sudden loss of a husband and father to Emka, 9, and Edko, 5. The news arrived on what should have been a day of celebration.”My daughter called me that her brother was dead. They were at the celebration, her daughter was 40 years old. attila was a family relative and wanted to make them happy with sightseeing flights. Just when my son was there, they collapsed,” shared Petra’s mother, Mary, with profound sorrow. “She blames it now, but she has nothing to do. Life will not return anyone anymore,” she added.
Community Rallies to Provide support
Following the tragedy, Peter’s wife, Lenka, finds herself alone with the responsibility of raising their two children and managing a mortgage. To help Lenka navigate this incredibly difficult period and secure their home,a public collection was initiated on the Donio.sk platform.
“In September,the life of this family has changed forever. Lenka lost tragically about her beloved husband Peter during an experiential flight. Their children, Emka and Edko lost their kind dad who was supported and a source of joy,” explained Zuzana, the fundraiser organizer.
