Sheryl Sandberg, executive director of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, has resigned.
Sheryl Sandberg resigns:
Sandberg, the second most important person in meta after Mark Zuckerberg, announced his departure from meta on Thursday in an official Facebook post. He has worked for meta for 14 years.
Sandberg has announced that he will continue his journey on the board, even if he resigns.
Mark Zuckerberg:
CEO Zuckerberg described Sandberg’s departure as “the end of an era.” “After 14 years, my good friend and partner Sheryl Sandberg is stepping down as Meta’s COO,” Zuckerberg said in an official Facebook post.
