The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed deep concern about the active fighting at Shifa Hospital and condemned the use of medical facilities as sites of hostilities.

The Director General of WHO reports this on his page “X”.

Hospitals should never become a battlefield, he said. Tedros also stressed that Shifa Hospital had only recently been able to restore minimal medical services after previous military clashes.

He warned that any military action or militarization of the hospital could seriously disrupt access to health care, as well as lead to shortages of vital medical supplies.

Earlier, Cursor reported that the IDF showed Hamas terrorists fighting from the Shifa Hospital. Hamas fighters opened fire on IDF soldiers, who began shooting back.

During the operation at Shifa Hospital, the IDF reportedly arrested approximately 80 suspects, including operatives from terrorist organizations.

“Cursor” also wrote that the IDF announced the elimination of a high-ranking Hamas terrorist during the fighting at the Shifa hospital. In the premises of the Hamas terrorist, intelligence services found a significant amount of weapons and ammunition.
