jpnn.comJAKARTA – Spotify introduced a new feature, which allows users to play music videos like YouTube.
This feature is only available in beta in 11 countries, namely Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, the Philippines, Sweden and the UK.
“For the beta launch, we selected these markets based on a number of criteria including market size and availability of local content support,” said Spotify VP Global Head of Consumer Experience, Sten Garmark.
The music video playback feature can only be used by premium users.
The feature can be accessed on the “Now Playing” screen of songs supported by the video feature.
When playing a song, users can tap the “Switch to Video” button which will make the song play back in video form.
Users can change the orientation of the phone to watch music videos in landscape format.
If you want to go back to listening to the song in voice form, tap the “Switch to Audio” button.
