The feature short film directed by Azer Guliyev “The red color of the second planet” (İkinci planetin qırmızı rəngi) was awarded the “Silver Centaur” at the 34th International Film Festival “Message to Humanity”, which was held in St. Petersburg.

As Day.Az reports, the producer of the film told Trend about this Ali-Sattar Guliev.

The film was presented in the “Fiction Short Films” program.

The film, dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War, was shot within the framework of the “Big Return” (Böyük qayıdış) project of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.

The action of the film “The Red Color of the Second Planet” by Azer Guliyev takes place against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities, when the main character Musa is faced with that mysterious unity, without which he would not have found himself and his freedom. This is where his past, his experiences and his future begin…

The program traditionally presents more than one and a half hundred films from all over the world, created by directors representing various cultures and aesthetic movements. The Grand Prix “Golden Centaur” for the best film of the festival went to the French-Swiss film directed by Sylvain Georges “The Night is Dark. Farewell Here and Everywhere.” The three-hour documentary tells the story of the Spanish enclave in Morocco, the land border between the African continent and Europe.
