Kalpatta: A film club has started functioning at Kainatti Padma Prabha Public Library with an aim to screen documentary and classic films one day every week. The District Library Council has started a Film Club in the Granthalaya. Film star Abu Salim inaugurated the event.
Library President T.V. Ravindran presided. Joseph John’s documentary ‘Chained Life’ was screened as the opening film. Nila Revathi, who won the second position in the All-Kerala Reading Competition at the state level, the district level winners of the high school section of the district reading competition and the adults in both categories, District Library Council Secretary P.K. Sudhir gave gifts. Vaithiri Taluk Library Council Secretary C.M. Sumesh, Mutil WMO HS Principal P.A. Jalil, C.R. Radhakrishnan, Padma Prabha Public Library Secretary K. Prakashan also spoke. A meeting will be held in the library on 20th at 5 pm to plan the activities of the film club.
