The second micro-camp of the national team for women under the age of 16 was held with the main goal of observing other promising volleyball players. It is part of the preparation plan for the upcoming European Age Championships qualifiers. Bulgaria is hosting the first zonal screenings between January 15 and 19. In a stream with Turkey, Serbia, Romania, Greece and Montenegro, we will fight in the capital’s ”Hristo Botev” hall.
“We made changes in the composition by including and giving the possibility to girls with whom we had worked after the “Tournament of Talents”,and not only,” explained Evelina tsvetanova, assistant coach of the under-16 women’s team.
The headquarters again managed to hold four training sessions in the Hristo Botev hall in the capital, and one of the sessions was supervised by students from the Volleyball Department at the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy, led by Assistant Professor Georgi Birbochukov.
“The training process went normally, but unfortunately we did not reach the necessary technical and tactical level that we expected. The positive thing is that all the athletes are healthy. My colleagues and I managed to draw vital conclusions and outline guidelines for working with the team. I hope that for the girls to be even more motivated for full-time work at their clubs,” concluded Tsvetanova.
In the month of december, the main camp before the qualification will also start. The extended lineup will be announced at a later stage.
