The first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism of the 12th National Parliament was held.
On Thursday (March 14) at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhawan, Sajjadul Hasan chaired the meeting, committee members Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Mohammad Farooq Khan, Anwar Hossain Khan, Md. Mohiuddin Bachchu, Ashek Ullah Rafiq, Mahmud Hasan, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury, Md. Khosru Chowdhury and Shamima Harun participated.
In the meeting, the heads of the organizations under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism briefly presented the activities of their respective organizations in Power Point. At this time, the progress of implementation of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport expansion project was reviewed.
The committee advises the concerned ministries to take necessary and timely steps for overall development through mutual coordination.
Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Tourism Corporation, Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Tourism Board, Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and relevant officials of National Parliament Secretariat were present in the meeting.
