The first weekend of 2025 didn’t work out less violent than those registered since September 2024, when the drug war in Sinaloa.
Only between Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at least 15 intentional homicides were recorded in Culiacan y Mazatlanaccording to figures from the State Prosecutor’s Office. There would already be at least 24 deaths so far in 2025.

Also yesterday, three armed civilians got out of two cars and attacked a person who was in the access to a home set up as a rehabilitation center in the neighborhood Vegas, around 10:00 a.m.
The victim, preliminarily identified as Fernando, died instantly after receiving multiple shots in the back.
