Flesh-eating bacteria is taking hold on more and more patients: ‘Large wounds, sometimes entire leg or chest and back’ |  inland

BEVERWIJK – Burn center Beverwijk sees a tripling of patients with serious wound infections caused by group A streptococci, or the flesh-eating bacteria. The ‘very large wounds’ regularly cover an entire leg or chest, up to 40 percent of the entire body.
