Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, a grand automobile exhibition is being held in Delhi. In this, many leading companies from the automobile industry are displaying their new car and motorcycle models. It is also introducing concept models for upcoming vehicles. In that vein, two-wheelers like Royal Enfield’s Classic 350 and Honda CB300F were introduced that run on flex fuel, an ethanol-mixed fuel.
Royal Enfield Classic 350:
The Classic 350 is on display, running on an 85 percent ethanol petrol-ethanol blend. Mechanically, the Flex Fuel bike is identical to the standard Classic 350. That is, the air-cooled, 349cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 20.2hp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Since the same engine is present in other Royal Enfield models like Meteor, Hunter and Bullet, Royal Enfield may introduce flex-fuel editions of those bikes as well. Compared to the Classic 350 currently on sale, the only thing new is the special green and red paint seen on the new bike. The Classic 350 is priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh.

Honda CB300F:
Like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Flex Fuel, the Honda CB300F Flex Fuel model is not much different from its current edition. It is powered by a 293cc oil-cooled SOHC engine that churns out 24hp and 25.6Nm, mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox with slip and assist clutch. It accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 7.94 seconds. The regular price of the CB300F currently on sale in the Indian market is Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand. Honda already sells several flex-fuel compatible bikes in other markets such as Brazil.
