Foreign Minister Kondov sent a letter to the Patriarch of Antioch

The Minister ⁣of​ Foreign Affairs ⁣Ivan Kondov sent a‌ letter too His Beatitude John X, Patriarch‌ of Antioch ‍and the All East in Damascus, the‍ Ministry of‍ Foreign Affairs announced.

With his message, the⁢ minister expresses “Bulgaria’s unwavering support and solidarity with the ​Syrian people and with the⁣ Orthodox Christians in Syria”, added the ministry.

In his ‌letter, Kondov also shared ‍his hope that Syrians will live ⁤as equal and responsible citizens of their country, in ‍a peaceful and prosperous Syria, governed by ‍the rule of law and respect⁢ for human rights ⁢and ​freedoms.

“I believe ⁤that ​in the ‍future, under yoru spiritual leadership, Orthodox Christians will contribute a lot ‍to the ​restoration of their ⁢country – a​ home for all Syrians, irrespective of ‍their faith ⁣and ethnicity”, Minister Kondov also ⁢wrote and wished prosperity and peace to the people ⁢of Syria in the spirit of the​ approaching Christmas holidays.

That day, the Patriarch of Antioch also received support from the‌ Bulgarian⁣ Patriarch⁢ and Sofia Metropolitan Daniil, who sent a message of fraternal love ⁢and a prayer for‍ Syrian ⁣christians to live in peace.
