Linda Zervakis was involved in an accident while riding her bicycle. The authorities confirm an operation.
Presenter Linda Zervakis was injured in a traffic accident early Tuesday evening. As “Bild” reports, she then had to be treated in hospital. According to the newspaper, the 49-year-old is said to have been on her way to the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in Hamburg, where the 40th Robert Geisendorf Prize was awarded that evening.
Linda Zervakis was scheduled to be part of the award ceremony; her laudatory speech was given by her colleague Julia Westlake, according to “ekd.de”. The report also confirms the accident. “The 49-year-old cyclist overlooked a woman with a Mercedes A-Class to her left,” says a statement from the Hamburg police. The authority confirms the accident, but does not confirm that the person involved is Linda Zervakis.
“Slight injuries to one arm and one leg were found on site. She was taken to hospital in an ambulance,” said the police spokesman. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet. It is not clear how she is currently doing. The TV presenter herself has not yet commented on the incident.
Linda Zervakis is a well-known journalist. She worked as a “Tagesschau” spokeswoman for a long time. In 2021 she resigned from this post after more than ten years. She then received a joint format with presenter Matthias Opdenhövel on the private broadcaster ProSieben, which was canceled last year.
