Fort Lauderdale police are intensifying their search for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman nearly a month ago.

According to the local press report, the serious incident took place on February 27, at approximately 2:30 in the morning, in the 700 block of 16th Street, southeast of the region.

The victim, whose name was not released, was approached while walking by an individual, who followed her in his vehicle before confronting her armed with a gun, demanding money.

Subsequently, and when the woman refused, the aggressor forced her to get into the car and then sexually assaulted her while threatening her with the firearm.

Despite being subdued, the woman managed to escape and alert the authorities in that area of ​​Fort Lauderdale, who have already released video surveillance images showing the suspect’s car in the vicinity of the crime scene.

The alleged attacker is described as a Hispanic man, about 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short dark hair, and a medium build.

It is believed that at the time of the attack he was wearing a white T-shirt and a dark sweater over long dark pants.

Meanwhile, the vehicle involved is a gray Hyundai Sonata, with dark tinted windows.
