Forza Horizon 5 Celebrates Lunar New Year with Year of the Dragon Update and Car Pack

Playground Games wants to celebrate the Lunar New Year and ring in the Year of the Dragon in a very exciting way in Forza Horizon 5.In a new update now available, the racing game is getting a slew of new Support for cars, rewards, completion honors, and a host of limited-time modes that have the flavor of an annual event.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the in-game Drift Arena will undergo a Year of the Dragon transformation. That means when you’re burning rubber around the track, you’ll find a slew of reds and yellows, and even vibrant dragons stretching across the track. At night, there’s even a dragon drone show lighting up the sky. Likewise, with the introduction of these new elements, fans can head to EventLab to add some dragons and other Lunar New Year decorations to their own creations.

As for the rewards offered during the event, 13 cars will return or make their debut. The full list can be seen below.

The latest Car Pack even has a Chinese theme, as it’s called the Lucky Stars Car Pack and brings four vehicles popular in China into the game. As for what these cars are, they are the 2022 Lynk & Co 05+, the 2023 MG Cyberster, the 2022 Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Macaron, and the 2012 Volkswagen Santana.

As for what rewards fans can get for playing Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist during the Lunar New Year event, there will be five cars available to unlock from now until late February, including the 2022 Hyundai Kona N, the 2022 Hyundai iONIQ 6, and the 2022 Hyundai iONIQ 6. Lynk & Co 02 hatchback, 2020 Hyundai i30 N. and 2022 MG MG7.

Playground also previewed Horizon 5’s next plans, noting “We took a European car back across the Atlantic.
