In Oberstdorf there was a record number of spectators right at the start on Saturday – for the qualification there. ZDF reported this during the broadcast on Saturday afternoon.

According to “Skisprung.com”, Oberstdorf’s previous record in qualification was from 2023. At that time, 16,300 people interested in ski jumping took part in SC Oberstdorf’s Schattenbergschanze.

The winner of the qualification was the Austrian Daniel Tschofenig with a distance of 141.5 meters and 167.5 points. Behind the Austrian were four other jumpers from the Alpine republic: Stefan Kraft (164.8 points), Michael Hayböck (162.3), Jan Hörl (157.3) and Maximilian Ortner (156.2).

The best German was current World Cup leader Pius Paschke in sixth place with 139 meters and 154.9 points.

In addition to him, Karl Geiger (149.3 points), Andreas Wellinger (144.6), Stephan Leyhe (128.5), Philipp Raimund (124.5) and the 20-year-old Adrian Tittel (119.4) also finished the best 50 jumpers who will take part in the official tour start on Sunday (from 4.30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker).
