Apparently the FPÖ Lower Austria has grabbed too much tax money from the feeding trough of the system that it supposedly wants to fight. The party is applying to the Supreme Court for an extraordinary appeal against the Vienna Higher Regional Court’s ruling. Cost: Exactly 9228.30 euros. The chances for the party are minimal, but from the FPÖ’s point of view, the money is probably better spent on lawyers than on the flood victims in its own federal state.
The Party for Law and Decency cannot resist not accepting law and decency: After a rejected preliminary injunction and legal defeats in the first and second instances, the FPÖ leader’s bunker decided to keep fighting – until the last tax euro. And this despite the fact that the war is already practically lost. Since we know the history books very well, we are not at all surprised by this.
The massive increase in party support after the election victory probably caused the FPÖ to burn its fuses. The Lower Austrian population is swimming in the waters, the Blues are in money. Now it’s time to really gamble! All or nothing! The luxury expenses of the party elite have to be financed somehow. And Sugar Daddy Putin has become increasingly stingy since the war began.
So we had no choice but to bring our lawyer back from the spa, where he wanted to recover from the marathon trial, and are now taking another victory lap at the invitation of the Blues.
Waste of money
With almost 10,000 euros, which are now in addition to the 46,876 euros previously sunk, you could do so many useful things for the people that Udo Landbauer & Co. apparently only cares about during an election campaign: You could donate the money to flood victims, you could finance two families’ weekend shopping at Billa, you could even invite a small family on a ski weekend. Yes, you could even have an entire one-page concept created in the think tank.
The good news: EUR 3,356.10 of which are court fees. Here tax money is returned to the rightful owners – the taxpayers.
Another good news: The FPÖ is showing its national, social streak for the first time. Because of the cold! She grants her lawyer a generous minimum security of one document per month. In addition, the lawyer was even elected to the National Council from the Linz regional constituency on September 29th – as a reward for his successful legal advice to date. The path to becoming an ombudsman seems to be mapped out.
A case for resetarits
We hereby officially apply to “Schauplatzgericht”. Because a TV show where stubborn freaks sue each other into personal bankruptcy because the garden fence extends three centimeters too far into the neighboring property seems ideal for an episode about Udo Landbauer and his songbook troupe. Then Landbauer can complain to the camera at Peter Resetarits about how traumatic it was when ten innkeepers called the party headquarters and asked what the Gabalier rant was all about.
This is how it continues
Now it is the Supreme Court’s turn and must decide whether to allow the appeal. We keep our fingers crossed for the FPÖ, because perhaps the dispute with us will drag on and go to the next instance in 2025 under the new Vokaki Herbert I: the newly installed People’s Chancellor’s Court in Wels-Oberdonau, with executioner Kickl personally in the interests of the Freedom Party Law and justice will speak.
Kind regards to the FPÖ leader bunker,
The daily press
PS: And we promise that if the Supreme Court rejects the appeal, we will only report it with a one-liner, because at some point we too will run out of jokes.
