Gabon/FDS recruitment: assessment test on December 22 in Lambaréné – AGP

LAMBARÉNÉ, December 17, 2024 (AGP) – The evaluation tests for the national recruitment competition within the Defense and Security Forces will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 in Lambaréné, capital of the province of Moyen-Ogooué (Center). of Gabon), according to a press release received from the provincial office of the AGP.

These tests will take place in the premises of the Lycée Charles Mefane, located in the Château district, in the 1st arrondissement of the commune of Lambaréné. This information is contained in press release No. 044/24/MIS/PMO/DOL/PL/CP signed by Yves Yassima, prefect of the Ogooué and Lakes department.

According to the said press release, the lists of selected candidates will be published the day before the tests, i.e. December 21, 2024, at strategic points in the region, namely: the governorate of Moyen-Ogooué, the prefecture of Lambaréné and the sub-prefecture of Makouké.

Candidates for the competition must meet the following conditions: be of Gabonese nationality, have an age between 18 and 24 years old on the date of integration and be in good physical condition.

Candidates are required to provide the following documents: a handwritten cover letter addressed to the Commanders-in-Chief or equivalent or to the Chiefs of Staff of the chosen military branch; a legalized copy of the birth certificate; a criminal record extract (to be provided if successful); a certificate of education; a copy of the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP) or the level certificate of the 3rd class for rank-and-file soldiers; a Brevet d’Études du Premier Cycle (BEPC) or a Baccalaureate for non-commissioned officers; two identity photos.

Placed under the very high directives of the President of the Transition, Brigadier General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, this national competition is part of an approach aimed at reducing youth unemployment. It offers them new employment prospects within the Defense and Security Forces.

This initiative is part of ongoing reforms, demonstrating the desire of the Gabonese authorities to promote the socio-professional integration of young people through stable and sustainable employment opportunities.
