The price of Gasoline in the regions of Girona it is now a chain of nine weeks with rises. From July 12 until now, almost two months later, gasoline has not closed any week with a price equal to or lower than the previous demarcation. Currently, on averagegasoline at Girona gas stations costs 1.752 euros per liter, 8.48% more than on July 12. This means that filling a tank of around 50 liters of petrol in the Girona regions costs 87.6 euros on average.
In the same period of time, the price of diesel has climbed above that of petrol. A liter of diesel in Girona costs 1,634 euros on average, 13.39% more than on July 12. Filling a 50-litre diesel tank at Girona petrol stations costs 81.7 euros on average, about six euros less than if it were petrol.
In the State, fuels follow the same line as in the regions of Girona and have become more expensive for the ninth consecutive week, according to data published in the Petrolier Bulletin of the European Union. During the last seven days the price of petrol at the State’s service stations has risen to 1.731 euros per litre, 0.58% more than the previous week, and has reached its highest level since the end of July last year – it must be taken into account, however, that at that time the price had a discount of 20 cents per liter by the Spanish government-. For its part, diesel has become more expensive up to 1.622 euros per liter, 0.62% more than the previous week, and remains at maximum levels since February, that is, for the last six months.
