Deepika Padukone had said that ‘Geharaiyame’ is an attempt to cultivate sympathy in the audience for all types of people. ‘Geharaiyam’ made me realize that there is no white or black. Only human beings. Deepika Padukone had said that we classify characters because we do not know enough about such characters in the film.
