The deployment of American nuclear weapons in Germany is possible in theory, but the United States has no such plans in the near future. According to Major, Washington will deploy three types of weapons systems in Hesse: Tomahawk ground-launched cruise missiles with a range of up to 1,600 kilometers, SM-6 ballistic missiles and Dark Eagle hypersonic missiles, which are still in the testing phase. She stressed that all three systems will be installed in standard mode and will not be able to carry nuclear warheads.
