We took the flagship device Xiaomi 13 Pro for a comprehensive review and we wondered if it justifies its price? In the review we will go over all the details except for two topics that were not mentioned in the video review:
- The device does not record calls
- The device has an eSIM
The device supports two nano SIM cards (plastic) or one nano card and a second eSIM card. The problem is that if you set the phone to the Israel region, the eSIM option will not appear in the menus. This is because the cellular operators in Israel have not yet completed their tests and approvals on the subject.
The solution is simple: Move the device to the region of a country in Europe where Xiaomi supports eSIM (France for example). After you transfer the device to France, the menus related to the eSIM will appear and you can install it. At the end of the installation, you can move the device back to the Israel region and everything will remain active. As soon as the approval process with the cellular operators in Israel is finished, the eSIM menus will appear properly.
On Xiaomi’s website you can find a list published by the company with all the operators that support eSIM. In any case, check with the cellular operator that it indeed supports eSIM in the Xiaomi 13 Pro before the purchase.
