GK Vasan’s Efforts to Unite BJP-Led National Democratic Alliance before Prime Minister Modi’s Visit to Tamil Nadu

by time news

Chennai: GK Vasan, president of Tamaka, has been active in trying to unite the parties including AIADMK, BMC and DMDK in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. It is planned to complete these works before Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes to Tamil Nadu.

Lok Sabha elections are going to be held soon. After winning this, BJP is making serious efforts to form the government for the 3rd time in a row. The opposition parties came together to form the ‘India’ alliance to topple the ruling BJP. While Trinamool Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in this coalition announced that they will contest separately in West Bengal and Punjab, Nitish Kumar, who was considered the main leader, also left the Indian coalition and formed the government in Bihar along with BJP. This series of events is seen as a major setback for the India alliance.

In this context, DMK is working with the intention that BJP should not win even a single constituency in Tamil Nadu. It is also devising strategies for this. The DMK is conducting seat sharing negotiations to ensure that the Congress, Indian Communist, Marxist, Visika, Madhyamik, Indian Union Muslim League and Komadeka parties in their alliance do not go out.

Meanwhile, while the BJP leadership was devising strategies to retain the parties in the National Democratic Alliance, add additional parties to the alliance, and capture specific constituencies in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK, the main party, left the National Democratic Alliance after accusing the Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai of not working properly. Already, with the exit of the BJP and the DMD from the National Democratic Alliance, the AIADMK’s exit caused a commotion in the alliance.

“The AIADMK has come out completely from the National Democratic Alliance. “There is no more connection or relationship with the BJP,” General Secretary of the party Palaniswami has been saying categorically. It doesn’t matter what government is formed in the center. AIADMK is devising strategies saying that the aim is to make the DMK fail in Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections and win all the constituencies.

Having left the BJP alliance, Palaniswami, who participated as a special invitee in the STBI conference in Madurai, criticized the BJP. He is determined not to lose the votes of the minorities. The party is also hopeful that the AIADMK will get minority votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

At the same time, Palaniswami is trying to strengthen the AIADMK alliance by bringing some parties in the DMK alliance along with the BJP and the DMK. It is also said that there is a possibility of some parties going to the AIADMK alliance as the DMK alliance does not get the required constituencies.

Apart from this, former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, AAMUK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran, Indian Democratic Party founder Parivendar, NDA President Krishnasamy and others are in support of the BJP, but in an attempt to consolidate the left parties and strengthen the National Democratic Alliance, the BJP has fielded Tamaka President GK Vasan.

On this occasion, GK Vasan met with BJP National President JP Natta and held a serious consultation regarding alliance consolidation. At that time, Natta is said to have assured the parties joining the alliance regarding the appointment of the Union Minister. Following this, GK Vasan requested the Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai to cooperate in bringing AIADMK back into the alliance. Later, AIADMK General Secretary Palaniswami also met GK Vasan and held reconciliation talks. In this case, Vasan is going to meet PMK leader Anbumani in Delhi today (Feb. 5) and discuss the inclusion of PMK in the BJP alliance.

BJP has not only won the Lok Sabha elections for the 3rd time and taken power, but also is doing serious field work to get significant seats in Tamil Nadu.

In this case, BJP national leader JP Natta is coming to Chennai on the 11th to participate in the public meeting. At that time, he is going to consult with the party officials about the election work. It is also said that he is going to meet the leaders of the coalition parties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu on the 18th to participate in the closing ceremony of the Annamalai Padayatra. By then, it is said that the consolidation work of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance will reach its final stage.
