Goheung-gun Regional Self-Reliance Center was selected as an excellent organization in the management evaluation by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 7th that the Goheung Regional Self-Reliance Center was selected as an excellent organization in the ‘2024 Regional Self-Reliance Center Management Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This management evaluation was conducted at 250 regional self-reliance centers across the country, comprehensively considering the rate of change in self-reliance project participants, the increase/decrease and retention rate of those receiving asset formation support, and the increase in sales of business units. As a result, the Goheung Regional Self-Reliance Center was recognized for its outstanding performance and was selected as an excellent organization, and received additional operating expenses of 5 million won according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s incentive payment plan.
County Governor Gong Young-min said, “I believe that this achievement is the result of the self-reliance center’s active project promotion and the efforts of the participants who faithfully carried out the self-reliance project.” He asked us to work harder to promote self-reliance and welfare for low-income people by developing a variety of suitable jobs.”
Oh Geun-i, head of the Goheung Regional Self-Reliance Center, said, “All workers will work together with the participants in one mind and one mind to make it a self-reliance center where all participants in the self-reliance project can dream of a better tomorrow.” He added, “We will continue to work with the participants through the development and substantial operation of the self-reliance work group.” “We will do our best to help low-income people achieve self-sufficiency,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Goheung Regional Self-Reliance Center operates 9 self-reliance work groups, including plant cafes, and the production and sales of scorched rice and seasoned seaweed, to provide jobs to 45 low-income people. It also provides jobs to 45 low-income people, and provides jobs and capacity building training, asset formation support, etc. to improve self-reliance of low-income people. We are taking the lead in encouraging self-reliance.
