Gokseong-gun (Governor Cho Sang-rae) announced on the 9th that ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, safety inspections were conducted on major facilities targeting multi-use facilities within the district to ensure that residents and returning visitors to their hometowns can have a safe and comfortable holiday.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, Gokseong-gun inspected one traditional market, one terminal, and one nursing hospital used by many residents. This inspection was carried out substantively by forming a safety inspection team with Gokseong-gun, Gokseong Fire Department, and private experts from Jeonnam City Gas Co., Ltd. and Songwoo Entech Co., Ltd.
The main inspection items include whether octopus-type outlets are used, cracks in the building, damage or water leakage, etc. In particular, risk factors found at the site will be explained directly to the facility management entity and improvements will be made before the holiday break.
In addition, we plan to take local corrective action for minor issues based on the inspection results and continue to manage them until the risk factors are resolved. We also requested corrective action from the management entity regarding the non-installation of ground wires and the loading of items at the evacuation exit.

Meanwhile, Gokseong-gun announced that it will run an application and reception period for the ‘2025 Standing Table Support Project’ for general restaurants from the 13th to the 24th in order to improve the hygiene level of restaurants by improving the aging facilities of food hygiene businesses. .
The standing table support project is a project that converts sitting tables into standing tables. The total project cost is 28 million won, and the project amount is 100 sets of tables, with support of up to 400,000 won per set (2870% military expenses, 1230% self-pay).
The criteria for selecting candidates are: businesses for which 6 months have passed since obtaining a general restaurant business report in Gokseong-gun, business owners who have been registered as residents in Gokseong-gun for more than 6 months as of the date of application, business owners who wish to replace existing sit-down tables with standing tables, and 20 of the existing business beneficiaries. This is a business owner who replaced less than a set. Exclusions include those who are delinquent on national or local taxes, or those who have received administrative measures of business suspension or higher within the past two years.
