Gold rises in Baghdad and stabilizes in Kurdistan

/ Foreign and Iraqi gold prices rose in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and stabilized in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Thursday.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded, this morning, the selling price of one mithqal of 21 karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 431 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 427 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat Iraqi gold was recorded at 401 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 397 thousand dinars.

Regarding retail gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-karat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 435 thousand and 445 thousand dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranges between 405 thousand and 415 thousand dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold was recorded at 500 thousand dinars, 22 karat was sold at 460 thousand dinars, 21 karat was sold at 440 thousand dinars, and 18 karat was sold at 380 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
